Waleed Hilal is a trained Munshid from Jordan of Palestinian heritage.  A graduate in Islamic Law and Qur'anic studies, Waleed is the founder of and senior teacher with Noon Academy for the study of Arabic Language, Qur'an and Islamic Studies.  Waleed is also a khateeb in the Greater Toronto Muslim Community.  Waleed released his first album "I Have No One But You" and is currently in studio working on his second album of classical nasheeds.

Waleed has performed with fellow nasheed artists Aa'shiq al-Rasul, SHAAM, Mesut Kurtis,Hamza Robertson, Muadz, Nader Khan, Dawud Wharnsby-Ali, Fez Meghani and Aftab Ali.  In addition to performing in Canada, Waleed has toured Indonesia, Malaysia and Jordan.  In Malaysia, the organizer of the Islamic Song Festival awarded Waleed the high honour of leading off the performance for  Her Royal Higness Queen Tuanku Nur Zahirah the Queen of Malaysia.
